CYC began as a university project in 2018, inspired by Jon Chan’s vision for high-performance ebike drive systems. Recognizing the transformative potential of ebikes, Jon developed the first X1 Pro prototype, securing funding through prestigious awards and drawing on his experience at GNG Electric.
Today, we are a passionate team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of eBike technology. Together, we’ve created three cutting-edge mid-drive conversion kits, empowering riders to customize their experiences, express their individuality, and enjoy the freedom of electric mobility.

TORQUE SENSING TECHNOLOGY
New CYC motors are equipped with the Gen 3 torque sensing technology exclusively developed in-house by our team of engineers and riders. Together they achieved a pedal assist experience for conversion kits like you’ve never seen before!

The X-Controller Series is designed for you with in-house firmware giving way to optimized pedal assist and throttle experience. This enables us to find the sweet spot between natural riding and pure power to open a world for conversion kits like no other.

All the previous water ingress point has been sealed properly with the upgrades. All the exposed bearings are also sealed so the systems are now safe to wash and use under heavy rain condition.

the TRANSFORMATION
After installing the CYC motor kit, your mountain bike is transformed into a high performance machine delivering up to 5kW of power with a simple twist of the throttle, reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h (depending on gearing and setup).
With performance comparable to electric dirt bikes like the Sur-Ron Light Bee, this upgrade adds only around 12 kg to your bike, keeping it far lighter and more agile than a full-size e-moto.
Switch to pedal assist mode and it rides like a traditional e bike, offering a smooth and efficient experience with a range of up to 100 km depending on riding style and terrain.
